Hello, my name is Nolan Ray. I was born in Arizona, and I lived in Florida for a few months. I now live (and have grown up) in Traverse City, Michigan. It is a small town in northern Michigan. (Yes I do know Bethanie, we are friends).
I am part of "D.R.I.M.E." team at my church, and I will be leading it starting next year. We perform dramas to the local homeless community, as well as downtown, at church and youth group, and in inner city Detroit. God is totally using me through this. I am also the president of NAHS (National Art Honors Society) at my high school. I enjoy art so much, it is one of my greatest passions and one of my greatest gifts. Painting and photography are my favorite forms of art. I also love the Spanish language. I am taking my third year of Spanish and I am very excited to be going to Mexico to put it to good use. I am not super talkative, but I love getting to know people. I cannot wait to meet the rest of you guys on team Mexico, we are going to WRECK Mexico for Christ!!
God has made me a new creation in Christ. I was just another selfish person wandering this Earth until I realized who God really was. I accepted God in my mind, but not my heart. I went through times of trials and hardships, as most of us do, but I kept running back to God. He became the answer to my problems. God is real, and he loves me personally. I still do not understand. Jesus is a mystery to me, his revelation of the love of God can only be described as indescribable.
I am looking forward so much to going to Mexico. I don't know what is in store for me, but I do know that I will let God use me for his will. There are people waiting for us in Mexico, they are waiting for us to tell them about Jesus.
